The FDA announced on friday that it would not ban the use of BPA in food packaging but will still continue research on the possible health effects of BPA. Scientists are still looking into the effects of BPA which is said to mimic estrogen in the body. The FDA concluded that the research done was not sufficient enough to ban BPA in food packaging. The FDA recognizes the possible health risks, but the research done so far is not sufficient so for now BPA is still in our food packaging.
