Fast foods such as Mcdonalds, Wendys, Kentucky Fried Chicken, and way more are very common in the middle class. You would think because the low class does not receive as much income as the middle or higher class they would HAVE to atleast have the fast food industry as a resort for maybe once or twice a week depending how much money they are making, well this isn’t true. A national study from 1994 to 1996 has been done and said that middle class people are more likely to purchase fast foods.”There is a correlation between obesity and lower income, but it cannot be solely attributed to restaurant choice,” said J. Paul Leigh which is published online in Population Health Management. “Fast-food dining is most popular among the middle class, who are less likely to be obese.” Exactly what does the middle class see about fast foods? Well simply,”Low prices, convenience and free toys target the middle class — especially budget-conscious, hurried parents — very well,” said Leigh.
