Clean Your Hands and the Pacific

Even in some of the most polluted waters, someone has managed to take the first step towards cleaning up our oceans.  Adam Lowry and Eric Ryan began their company, Method, in 2001, creating eco-friendly home products–but now they have gone a step further.  They have begun cleaning out the Pacific by using the plasitc inside the Great Pacific Garbage patch, a giant moving pile of trash, to make their soap bottles.  They want to convey to the people that we need “to work with the plastics already on the planet.”-Adam Lowry.  The new bottle was created in order to publicize the harmful effects pollution has in our waters.
