Migrating geese avoid offshore wind farms, says study

A recent study tracking the migratory patterns of pink-footed geese flying towards the UK through off-shore wind farms yielded excited news. Apparently, despite the concerns of some ecologists, most birds managed to negotiate their way around the immense wind turbines. It also showed that as the years go by, the geese become increasingly accustomed to altering their migration paths to avoid the wind farms all together. However, the authors admit that more research at more wind farms with other species of migratory birds will be necessary.
