Delhi’s Disappearing Night Sky

This article is about the affects air pollution and light pollution have in Delhi.  Because Delhi is a major city with multiple high rise buildings and lights that are always on, it is impossible to see all of the stars in the sky.  Air pollution is also contributing to the disappearing night sky in Delhi because of the heavy smog at night-time. As N. Rathnasree, director of the Nehru Planetarium in Delhi, says, “one day kids will be singing ‘Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star’, without even knowing what stars are.
