Earthquakes reach a rumbling 8.5 magnitude have been recently recorded in the Himalayas and more can be expected to happen. A research team from NGU (Nanyang Technological University) found this out by studying the scars left in the earth by this massive earth bowl movements. The posibility of these quakes occurring is obviously possible but can also be devastating towards the people who live in the area. The population surrounding the mountains is almost as much as the population in New York City.
