Scientists Find Slow Subsidence of Earth’s Crust Beneath the Mississippi Delta

120402124452  The earth’s crust behind the Mississippi Delta sinks at a slower rate that what was predicted. Their studies have found new insights about the things that affect shorelines and other locations. This info is found in a paper written by Torbjorn and Shi-Young. They say that this is all good news for the people of New Orleans. However, the sea level is not the same story. It has been rising eight inches more during the past century. They are hoping that the global warming sea level problem causing a disturbance with the Mississippi Delta.
