Venezuelan states are worried that recent oil spills are creating a problem with the water. However, President Hugo Chavez disagrees with these governnors and thinks they are creating this propaganda to hurt his campaign. He thinks this is a crime and a media terrorism. There are now being restriction on what the media can say about the use of water. People think the government should spend their money on ways to fix the drinking water problem rather than silencing the media. This problem will not change for as long as the government continues to focus on things like the media and politics. The important issue here is the problem with water and the quality of that water.
