Scientist that were in the South Pacific Cook Islands found a piece of ancient earths crust while studying 20 million year old Lava. The piece of crust different from today’s in that it had different isotopes and sulfur due to the less oxygen that was in earth millions of years ago. The piece of crust is believed to be from a cracking piece of earths crust from the ocean floor due to a tectonic plate movement. The piece slowly sank lower and lower into earths crust and was brought back up for the scientist discover by an underwater volcanic eruption.
