EPA – U.S. Environmental Protection Agency : Maine Companies Honored by Northeast Diesel Collaborative for Efforts to Reduce Air Pollution

The EPA argues that diesel fuel emissions have large effects on our health. Asthma and other respiratory ailments are caused by diesel fuel emission. They explain that not using this fuel would lower the amount of sick days students and workers have to take and therefore make life healthier as whole. EPA enforced the use of Bio Fuels because not only would it reduce of air pollution but also reduce fuel costs for every day vehicles but especially trucks and large load vehicles. “The Northeast Diesel Collaborative works in the six New England states, New York, New Jersey, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands, to reduce diesel emissions, improve public health and promote clean air solutions and technologies.”
