Scientists Warn of Rising Oceans From Polar Melt

For the past few years, climate change has been a huge topic among our community. We have all heard information regarding the polar ice caps melting and how it is causing our beautiful seas to raise significantly. The major reason that this been occurring is due to the dramatic increase of greenhouse gases, which humans have been emitting into the atmosphere. This has been occurring for centuries now. Although, when the industrial revolution occurred, it created a large increase in demand of products. More demand means more manufacturing, which causes more greenhouse gases to be let out in our atmosphere. Due to the increase of harmful rays, temperatures on Earth have been altering and changing the balance Earth once had. This unbalance has resulted in the melting of glaciers all around the world. Sea levels have been rising. Scientists had once predicted that the raising of these seas was to occur in about 100-200 years but, new findings reveal that it will begin within the next 50 years. Right over Antarctica lies a hole in the ozone layer, which is causing the ice to melt faster. This is because it has no protection against the harmful ultraviolet rays of the sun. In West Antarctica ice caps are melting the fastest than any other place. One expert states that West Antarctica is a fuse, and we have lit it, however there are many other fuses, and the world has to decide if it wants to light those or not. Over the past decades, our community has essentially overlooked the dangerous affects and conditions of the greenhouse gases in which, we have produced. Our atmosphere is changing now and we must try to protect it now.
