A new study lead by Newcastle University concludes that in organic milk and meat, there are almost 50% more beneficial omega-3 fatty acids than the average non-organic milk and meat. As a milk and meat lover, this is huge, because I can taste the healthiness in these organic products compared to the conventional products. The organic milk and meat contain the fatty acids that contain minerals and antioxidants. Omega 3s can lead to a reduction in cardiovascular disease and improved neurological function. The main difference between organic and non organic food is how the animals or plants used in the process of the food making were raised in a more humane manner, not using pesticides/hormones and often the animals are free-range and can lead to a friendlier eating experience. Organic is the way to go!
