Swiss physicist Jean-Pierre wolf is working on changing the weather with lasers. He studies have concluded concrete results but need to be further worked. First of many ideas is cloud seeding (attempt to change the amount or type of precipitation that falls from clouds). To do this he would shoot lasers up into the sky. The lasers work by shooting them up and inducing condensation or clouds in the sky. They have created small clouds in the lab but a greater amount of power is needed to do it in the sky. Not taking away from the Terawatt of power he is using… needs to be more powerful which is crazy. It has equal to all the nuclear power plants on earth. The technology is still premature but as developments continue this could be a prominent thing in the near future. This could have a large affect on climate change and could possibly lead the efforts in coming years if perfected. In addition, they could tame the lighting and reduce costs needed from lightning damage and fatalities globally.
